CARLA HALL

 ASSISTANT - 2nd Dan

Mrs. Hall is a 2nd Degree Black Belt.  She began training Tae Kwon Do in 2016 after watching Master Hall for 16 years.

All it took was an introductory class and the right instructors and she was hooked!

In 2017 she became a student of Grand Master Dunn and loves it.  Now we can't get her out of the dojo.

Mrs. Hall loves the self-confidence she's gained from practicing the martial arts and enjoys seeing the personal growth and improvement in our students as they progress.

In her spare time Mrs. Hall enjoys reading, tracing her family's genealogy, following the royal family and keeping Master Hall out of trouble.

DOUGLAS HALL

 OWNER/HEAD INSTRUCTOR - 5th Dan

Master Hall has been training in the martial arts since 1991.  He earned is 1st Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do in 1995 and his 2nd Degree in 1997.  He earned a 1st Degree Black Belt in Shotokan Karate in 1999.

From 1999 through 2015, Master Hall served in the US Air Force.  While he kept training, he was unable to further his rank in Tae Kwon Do due to deployments and moving.  During this time he studied Kung Fu, Ju-jitsu, and Kickboxing.

Master Hall often ran informal schools for fellow soldiers while deployed and would often teach classes at the base gym when home.

After retiring from the Air Force, Master Hall and his family moved to Indian Land, SC where they met Grand Master Robert Dunn.  GM Dunn took Master Hall under his wings and restarted training in earnest.  In 2016 Master Hall earned his 3rd Degree Black Belt, his 4th in 2019, and was awarded his 5th Degree in April 2022.

In 2019 Master Hall was inducted into the U.S. Kido Federation Hall of Fame and the American Martial Artist Alliance "Who's Who of American Martial Artists: Masters and Legends."

Master Hall loves to drill down and refine the basics of a technique so he can pass the knowledge and understanding to his students.  He enjoys focusing on common sense self-defense applications and practical employment of learned skillsets.

Master Hall is a pilot for United Airlines and loves to fly all over the world.  In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, training and exercising the family dogs, movies, books, and good food.

MARCUS BUTLER

 ASSISTANT INSTRUCTOR - 1st Dan

Mr. Butler has been studying Tae Kwon Do since 2015.  He began his martial arts journey at age 9, with a few breaks for high school and college.

He brings a wealth of knowledge, a ton of athleticism, a hunger to learn, and the desire to teach.  His positive, fun loving attitude is infectious.  He'll have you believing push-ups and sit-ups are fun!

Mr. Butler thoroughly enjoys teaching and mentoring.  He loves helping people accomplish what they thought would be impossible.

Mr. Butler hails from Kershaw,  SC and is a product of the Citadel.  He's a wonderful father (of 5!) and a great friend.  When he gets a free moment Mr. Butler is an avid runner.
